This is a blend of five top Cornas vineyards, grown on a combination of clay, limestone and decomposed granite, known locally as “gore”. This is a bold wine with plenty of structure, and lashings of brooding blue and blackberry fruit, highlighted by notes of tobacco, black pepper and herbs. Stow it away for a couple of years to allow the tannins time to soften. Drink 2022-2030.
