Matured in oak barrels. Dark red in the glass. The berry aromas with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon surround the palate. Present tannins, but not intrusive.
Although his name suggests a close relationship to Riesling, but actually the Schwarzriesling comes from the family of Burgunder varieties. He is also known under the French name Pinot Meunier. Its dense-berry grapes give us rich wines with a delicate velvety, fruity aroma. In the glass, they show bright brick to ruby red. The Black Riesling is happy to drink as Dämmerschoppen, but he is also - as an alternative to Spätburgunder - an interesting food companion.
This wine blend well with red meats such as Beef, Veal and even Salmon fish.
