In 2012, the grapes were hand-harvested, vinified in cement, then aged for a full two years in new and one-year-old oak barrels. In keeping with the vintage, it is defined by freshness and elegance, rather than power. On the nose, expect aromas of red and black currants, and a hint of liquorice. The palate has a clear, persistent mineral character. Drink now to 2022.
Will Heslop, Wine Buyer

This is a blend of 86% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc, with an average vine age of 35 years. The property lies on a plateau of pure limestone. Vinification takes place in separate lots. For consistency, artificial yeast is preferred. The final blend is matured for 24 months in a combination of new, one and two-year-old barrels. Very dense and rewarding on the nose. Rich Merloty start – very right bank. Long. Well bought.
