This is another wine which goes straight on to my personal shopping list this year, as it has been since 2004. It has a real elegance and precision this year, but with the weight of rich fruit so many lack. More Grand-Puy-Lacoste in Pauillac style than say Lynch-Bages, its sweet red, crunchy fruit gives the glass such a refreshing lift at the end you almost want to drink it now. Well played Claire, this 2012 is another quaffable triumph.
